- Several unlawful immigrants, believed to have attacked New York City police officers, were taken into custody in Phoenix, Arizona. Fox News confirmed the arrests on Monday evening.
The identities of the apprehended individuals have not been revealed yet. It remains uncertain which of the migrants implicated in the assault were arrested on Monday.
Four of these migrants, suspected to be part of the mob assault, are thought to have escaped to California following their release without bail.
New York Governor Kathy Hochul has voiced her intention to confer with Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg regarding why most suspects were released without bail.
